Curtis Brooks was raised in Melville and was the middle boy of five. He attended St. Henry’s School and graduated from the Melville Comprehensive High School in 1981. Curtis is married to his wife Wanda and they were blessed with two children.
Curtis made a career out of repairing vehicles and earned his Journeyman certificate in 1985. After high school, he joined the City of Melville Volunteer Fire Dept, where he spent 18 years responding to emergencies in Melville’s large fire district.
In 2006 Curtis was elected to Melville City Council where he spent 3 years before a career change led him to begin teaching at the newly announced fire training school in Melville. Curtis expanded on the teaching by also working with the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies where he taught on reserve firefighting, an automotive repair class, a small engine repair class, and a mining pre-employment class.
Curtis believes it is time that the people take back Saskatchewan and correct the course we are currently on with the misspending, mismanagement, and failing leadership.
Curtis would be honored to represent the people of the Melville/Saltcoats riding in the provincial legislature.
