Dave Moore

Melfort

Dave Moore was born and raised in LeRoy, growing up on a mixed farm.

His love of sports especially hockey took Dave away from home at a young age and ended up in Melfort playing for the junior team there. From there he ventured to Prince Albert playing for four years with the Raiders capturing two Canadian Championships.

Dave started his accounting career in Melfort and after two years moved home to LeRoy to continue his accounting profession and farm with his brother and dad. He commuted to Humboldt working at the accounting firm of Deutscher, Kunaman, and Scott.  Dave and his wife started a farm homestead site, planting trees, establishing a farm yard, and building a house while working at the accounting firm, raising a family, and farming.

Dave was very active in coaching many sports teams over the years involving his kids and always noted how this enabled him to meet so many great kids and families locally and around the province.

Dave became a Partner with MNP in 2003. His knowledge of Agriculture and love of people soon saw him become a leader for the Humboldt office and in the firm for the Agricultural niche. His ability to manage a large client base while leading firm projects demonstrates his ability to manage people and get things done.

Currently, Dave is farming with one of his sons.  He and his wife Kari of 41 years have four sons and one daughter and five grandchildren. Dave enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids recognizing the strong family bond they cherish and gives high accolades to his wife Kari for this most precious achievement.

Dave recognized the need for changes to our province and the direction it is headed. The people no longer have a voice. Governing bodies are not listening to the people. We are being directed from afar.

He notes – “Let’s localize not globalize”. He believes we need to enhance our provincial autonomy empowering Saskatchewan with greater control over our own affairs.

We have lost trust in all our systems from education, health care, law enforcement, and especially our governments.  Our local voices, those in the front lines, are no longer heard or valued.

Dave wants to turn the corner and return a voice to the people of this great place we call home.
